Samuel J. Smith (Glasgow)

Sam has worked professionally as a musician and producer since 2004 releasing two critically acclaimed albums with Chemikal Underground (under the moniker Mother and the Addicts) and released records with Wos/Pias and V2 and is published by Sony BMG and with the group Casual Sex via Moshi Moshi and Tritone. Recent Projects have included archiving restoring and mastering 'The Music From Bagpuss' for Earth Records, 'Dissident' by Richard Youngs on Glass Modern along with two more upcoming LPs, soundtrack work with Turner Prize winner Charlotte Prodger for her film SaF05 representing Scotland at the Venice Biennale, also currently in process are new LPs for Port Sulphur, Natalie Pryce, Ace City Racers and the sound track for Scottish Feature Film 'Ribbons'. Past projects include the Drag City LPs Alasdair Roberts and Pangs by Alasdair Roberts, Catholic Actions L.U.V. single (that features on the new Mercedes Benz A-Class Advert), Port Sulphur eponymous LP (feat Davey Henderson, James Kirk and Alan Vega), The Amour LP, the LP 'Vermillion' by Alex Rex (Alex Neilson of Trembling Bells), Ace City Racers 'Take It Its Yours' LP, The Hyper Real eponymous LP,  Janus by Matt Kivel (Driftless Recordings), Love and Money in Hull by Natalie Pryce, West Princes (Voidoid archive). Other past work has included singles with Bill Drummond (KLF), The LP Spoils by Alasdair Roberts (Drag City), nominated forth best Album of 2009 by WIRE magazine alongside releases by Remember Remember (Rock Action), David Shrigley, Sacred Paws, How To Swim, The New Fabian Society, The Animal Mothers, Correcto, the 1990s, Sons and Daughters (Domino) with JD Twitch (Optimo), The Tussel (Rong/DFA), Amour (Luke Fowler), Honey Blood (Fat Cat), Le Thug and Laura St Jude. He has engineered and produced alongside, Edwin Collins (Orange Juice), Paul Savage (Franz Ferdinand, Phantom Band, Twilight Sad), Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, John Foxx) Tony Doogan (Mogwai, Super Furry Animals, Belle and Sebastian) and Andy Millar (Arab Strap, Scoutt Niblett).

Sam has worked extensively as a Mastering engineer including work for Rough Trade (Goat Girl, Palma Violets) Domino recordings (The Amazing Snakeheads, ********), Optimo Music (Golden Teacher, Peter Zummo With and X), Paradise Palms, TriTone PIAS (Wake the President, Casual Sex), Virgin (Catholic Action), Creeping Bent (The Sexual Objects, Gareth Sager, Port Sulpher) and many more. Ronan Fay (Glasgow)

Ronan started in music studying Sound Production at Stow College, and later earned a degree in Audio Technology and Electronics at Caledonian University. During that time, he has gained experience working at Chem19 (Bill Wells/Aidan Moffat, The Phantom Band, Remember Remember), BBC Pacific Quay and, in 2013, started working full time as an assistant at Gorbals Sound.

Ronan has operated from Green Door Studio since 2017 and has experience with acts such as Belle and Sebastian, Simple Minds, Paolo Nutini, Catholic Action, LYLO, , Walt Disco, The Ninth Wave, and Dale Barclay, whilst also working alongside producers such as Leo Abrahams (David Byrne/Brian Eno, Jon Hopkins, Wild Beasts), John Wood (Nick Drake, Pink Floyd, Squeeze), Calum Malcolm (Josef K, Aztec Camera, The Fire Engines) He also produces music with the band Sweaty Palms.

Emily MacLaren (United States Based)

Emily has worked as an audio engineer and musician since the late 90’s. After studying Sound Engineering at Stow College, she spent 2 years in France setting up South Factory Studios with the founders of seminal New York No-Wave/"Mutant Disco" label Ze Records; working alongside Michel Bassignini and Michel Esteban (Suicide, James Chance and the Contortions, Lizzy Mercier, DNA, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks) she recorded the first album, In the Red, for her band, Michael Dracula (Ze Records, 2007). She returned to the UK in 2006 to set up The Green Door and has since produced and engineered albums/EP’s for Golden Teacher (Optimo Music), The Amazing Snakeheads - Amphetamine Ballads (Domino Records), Slim Customers (Black Totem Records), Palma Violets (Rough Trade), Hausfrau (Unknown Pleasures), Insect Heroes (Lost Map Records), Laura St Jude, Post (WCSP), Saint Max & The Fanatics (Armellodie), Organs Of Love (Optimo Music), Palms, Optimo Music, Jacob Yates and The Pearly Gate Lock-Pickers, In Posterface, Gropetown, Clocked Out, Gummy Stumps, The Creeping Ivies (Deadbeat Records), The Cosmic Dead, Wife Vs Secretary, She’s Hit, Ultimate Thrush, Eternal Fags, Black Jash, Adopted As Holograph, North American War, Smack Wizards, Honey and the Herbs, Adam Stearns & The Glas Animals and many others, as well as collaborations with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Having completed an M-Des in Sound for The Moving Image at Glasgow School of Art, she also specializes in composition and sound design for film, and has recorded soundtracks for “I’ll Be Right Here” and “Rule of Thumb” (Director: Gregor Johnstone)

Stuart Evans (United States Based)

Stuart started as a professional musician in the late 1990's with his first band releasing two critically acclaimed albums and various top 40 singles on Nude Records. He has worked with the likes of Mike Hedges (The Cure, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Manic Street Preachers, The Associates), Howie B (Brian Eno, Sly & Robbie, Bjork, Robbie Robertson) and Dennis Bovell (The Slits, The Pop Group, Janet Kay).
